Niutang's strong research and development (R&D) team of 18 professionals is led by Dr. Ya Cai. Dr. Cai holds a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Nanjing University of Science and Technology. He has more than 15 years of experience in the R&D area and is highly regarded as an expert in the food additives, chemicals and pharmaceutical intermediates fields.

To expand the depth and breadth of our team's capabilities, Niutang has forged product development relationships with leading research institutions, including Jiangnan University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, the BioExpressions and Fermentation Facility at the University of Georgia and the Midwest Research Institute in the U.S.
